With the increasing amount of oxygenated and ethanol-added gasolines at local area gas stations, racers are finding it increasingly harder to find pump gasoline that can safely pass current APBA fuel requirements.
A number of our members have found that the best solutions usually involve AvGas, "Racing Gas" such as VP, Trick and others (although not all of these will pass the meter), and gas obtained at marina fuel docks, since the ethanol adding does not seem to be hitting the marina industry just yet.
With that in mind, here is a list, submitted by our members, of places where they have had good luck sourcing fuel that passes APBA rules. If any other members want to submit to this list, e-mail the WebMeister here.
Update, 6-2-09: We also understand that the adding of ethanol in pump gas is not required outside of the major counties in the Puget Sound Region, so chances are good that gas purchased outside of King/Snohomish/Pierce/Thurston counties may pass the meter. Specifically, this has been the case in Whatcom County.
